Potsdam, NY - Sophomore Nick Kulp (Brockport, NY) scored on a direct kick early in the second half as the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team tied crosstown rival Potsdam State 1-1 Tuesday night.

The Golden Knights moved to 3-10-3 overall on the season and close out the regular season on Saturday when they visit Plattsburgh State. The Bears are now 3-9-6 overall.

Potsdam got on top early in the first half when Sean Rumney scored at 11:44 on a pass from Cager Mackaravitz. The Knights trailed for the remainder of the half but got on the scoreboard quickly in the second half when Nick Kulp took a direct kick from close to midfield that was misjudged by Potsdam goalkeeper Tyler Lattimore and skipped off his hands into the back of the net. The two teams would play to a scoreless tie for the remaining sixty-plus minutes.

Clarkson's Greg Dunton (Fairport, NY) stopped six shots in the first half before being relieved by Johnathan Rushing (Paw Paw, MI), who made five saves over the final 65 minutes. Lattimore made six saves for the Bears.
