Troy, NY - Senior guard Josh Harner (Houston, TX) scored a team-high 19 points as the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team won its fourth straight Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) contest with a 67-58 victory over Rensselaer Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Knights improved to 14-6 overall and 8-1 in the UCAA while Rensselaer dropped to 12-7 and 6-3. With the win, the Golden Knights have now won four of the past five meetings against RPI and open up a two-game lead in the UCAA over the second-place Red Hawks.

The Red Hawks jumped out to a 20-10 lead in the first half, but Clarkson went on a 19-2 run and ended the half with a 21-6 advantage to take a five-point halftime lead. RPI outrebounded Clarkson 41-29 in the game, holding the Golden Knights to just seven offensive rebounds while gathering 19 of their own. However, for the second straight game, the Golden Knights shot over 50 percent from the floor and made 11 of their 23 3-point attempts.

Senior guard Kevin Williams (Syracuse, NY) scored 10 points on 5-for-9 shooting while Harner enjoyed a solid day from beyond the 3-point arc, making five of his 11 attempts. Entering the weekend, Harner was ranked sixth in the nation among 3-point shooters at 47.2 percent.
