Potsdam, NY - Freshman goaltender Kira McDonald (Pickering, ONT) turned aside 29 of 31 shots, but the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team could not produce offensively as the Golden Knights fell to Quinnipiac University 2-1 at Cheel Arena Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Knights, who saw their wining streak end at two games, fall to 15-11-3. Clarkson closes out the home portion of its schedule with a Sunday afternoon game against Plattsburgh State, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Freshman Lindsay Williams (Mississauga, ONT) took a quick pass from the side of the net by Melissa Marshall (Oak Lawn, ILL) and stuffed in her 11th goal of the season to put Clarkson on the scoreboard first at 6:17 of the opening period. With 47 seconds left in the period, however, Quinnipiac evened the score on an unassisted goal by Debbie Beaudoin with her second goal of the season.

The Bobcats went on top 2-1 with a power-play score at 6:21 of the second when Vicky Graham tipped in a shot from the top of the left circle by Jayne Riley  for her team-high12th goal of the season.

Quinnipiac outshot the Knights 31-19. Both teams were 1-of-3 on the power play.
