Goerold Selected as ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-American for Second Time

Junior David Goerold (Clifton Park, NY) of the Clarkson University Baseball team has been picked as an ESPN The Magzine/CoSIDA Academic All-American for the second straight season.

Goerold, who possesses a 4.0 grade-point average and majors in Financial Information Analysis, was picked for the CoSIDA District 1 College First-Team and now moves on to the national ballot.

With six straight complete games, Goerold has emerged as the ace of the Golden Knights' pitching staff. He owns a record of 5-2 overall, but more impressively he ranks third in the conference with a 1.89 earned run average, and leads the league in hitters struck out looking (19), complete games (6), and shutouts (2). His 1.89 earned run averages ranks 14th in the nation.

Goerold was chosen as an ESPN The Magzine/CoSIDA Academic All-American as a sophomore as well.
